Label Changes to Diazinon - flood water must be held for 14days after application!

Monday, May 7, 2012

Hi Folks, Since the season is moving along and you'll soon be thinking about pesticide applications, I thought this would be a good opportunity to get the word out about a label change for Diazinon. I received notice that PMRA has changed the water holding requirements for diazinon treated cranberries from not releasing flood water until the concentration of diazinon was ≤1 μg a.i./L to not releasing it until 14 days after the last application of diazinon. PMRA has issued letters to the 4 registrants of diazinon that currently have cranberries registered- asking them to update their labels. Regards, Rachael
